My child is starting nursery school for the first time. Should I buy a rucksack or a satchel?

A rucksack is lighter and easier for nursery school children to carry. Satchels are more suitable for children starting primary school.

How big should a rucksack for nursery school children be?

A capacity of 5 to 12 litres is ideal: compact, but spacious enough to carry all the essentials.
